Dragon #417

I painted these illustrations back in August for Dragon magazine #417. Now the articles are out, so I can show you these two heroes. The first one is an Eberron piece, the guy is on it is an Assassin of the Silver Flame. The second one made me so happy because it's for a Dark Sun article and I always liked the visualization of this world. The tough-looking girl is a bounty hunter, her name is Ysrilla Lightstep.

"For centuries, Miron’s Tears has fought a secret war against the fiendish forces that strive to infiltrate and corrupt the Church of the Silver Flame. Do you have what it takes to join this devoted order?"

"Ysrilla Lightstep stalks the desert wastes of Athas in search of elusive prey, defying death to claim her prize. The bounty hunter has perished more than once, but death only fuels her determination."

Guttersnipe

A halfling rogue at work. This illustration has been made for the article "Character Themes: Heroes for Hire" by Richard Baker, and you can find it in Dragon magazine issue 399. I did two pieces for this issue: this one and the chapter starter for the same article. It was a pleasure and a great honor to work with Wizards Senior Creative Director Jon Schindehette again.

I made this illustration for the article Class Acts: Shaman by Russell Jones and Jeremy Pappas, and you can see it in Dragon magazine issue #385. This piece is one of the first two D&D illustrations I made for Wizards of the Coast. My Art Director was Jon Schindehette and I hope we will work together in the future - it's a honor and a great opportunity to learn.
Beyond that this issue of Dragon is really special for me because its cover painting made by fellow countrymen of mine, Zoltan Boros and Gabor Szikszai.
